KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & IMPACT
* Lead scale-up of liquid lip and concealer formulations from pilot to full-scale production, ensuring reproducibility of texture, payoff, shade, and stability.
* Develop and author detailed Manufacturing Procedures (MPs) aligned with Process Specifications (SPs) for complex pigmented systems.
* Collaborate with R&I and Corporate Quality to evaluate formulation composition, pigment load, dispersion requirements, and process risks prior to plant execution.
* Optimize mixing parameters (shear rate, temperature profile, addition order, batch time) to ensure uniform pigment dispersion and bulk homogeneity.
* Conduct and document process validations to confirm plant capability to consistently produce within viscosity, shade, and microbiological specifications.
* Lead risk assessments with Safety, Quality, and Operations to mitigate scale-up challenges including aeration, pigment agglomeration, and batch variability.
* Utilize structured problem-solving tools (Lean Six Sigma methodology) to investigate non-conforming batches, shade deviations, and texture inconsistencies.
* Drive waste reduction and yield improvement initiatives by optimizing batch processes and minimizing rework.
* Support equipment selection, commissioning, and validation for new processing technologies to enhance dispersion efficiency and reduce cycle time.
* Ensure FDA and GMP compliance of all validation and processing activities, including documentation of storage conditions and equipment qualification.
* Track new product launches to meet Product Availability Dates (PAD) within aggressive commercialization timelines.
* Share best practices across global teams to standardize liquid cosmetic processing methods and strengthen quality performance metrics.
* Thrive in a fast-paced, multi-project environment managing concurrent launches and continuous improvement initiatives.
