Astrid Christensen

My work includes HIV, tropical medicine and general infectious diseases, both inpatient and outpatient. In the hospital I mainly see inpatients with opportunistic infections and also do office follow-up after discharge. In the clinic I focus more on outpatient care of PLHIV in good immune status with comorbidities and other STIs.

- First case of disseminated histoplasmosis with multifocal osteolytic involvement in the Americas. 

- Enterococcus gallinarum meningitis in a patient with disseminated strongyloidiasis in the context of HTLV-1 infection.
