My job on this project consisted of cutting off an FCC reactor head, using heavy rigging to fly the head off, flying the new one back on, and fitting up and welding the outside and internal cyclones. The weld procedure was MT prep, plant buy-off on fit-up, and phaser ray final.
My responsibilities on this job included removing packing out of a FRAC tower and demoing a vaper horn in the lower section, working and communicating with crew members to fly the new packing and vaper horn up to the top and transfer it inside the FRAC tower.
My job in Joliet included the demo of the bottom slide valve on the 4 coke drums, and replacing it with a new delta valve. Other tasks I performed included 124 crack repairs on the coke drum skirt, blinding and un-blinding, and various other small jobs.
My duties included demo of packing inside a reactor head, welding stainless steel acorn doors back in place and welding Inconel patches on the upper cyclone sections.
