I would like to use this section of my resume to explain the gap in my work history. I was incarcerated in a federal institution from the year 2021 to the recent present ( end of 2025). I was sentenced to 7.5 years for drug crimes ( Marijuana & Cocaine Distribution) and firearm possesion. During my incarceration I spent the majority of my time completing programs to better prepare myself for my release to find meaningful employment in the community. I would also like any potential employer to know that my past does not define me as to who I am today and that given the chance to work for you I would be very grateful and would show my appreciation through hard work and loyalness to your company.
