  • Provide administrative support to the Fire Chief in developing and implementing the rules and regulations and standard operating guidelines for the department.
  • Assist the Fire Chief with developing the annual budget. Monitor our spending throughout the year to ensure we stay within our budget.
  • Oversee the daily operation of the department. Supervise the Fleet Maintenance Division non-uniform personnel. Supervise the Division Chiefs for Fire Prevention, Training, and Operations. Provide support to the department's special teams (i.e. Bomb Squad, Weapons of Mass Destruction Team, etc.).
  • Spec new apparatus for purchase, and apparatus for refurbishment. Participate in pre-construction and pre-delivery processes. Oversee large projects pertaining to any of our department's facilities.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the department's Records Management Software. Oversee the computers and software used by the department.
  • Respond to large-scale emergencies to provide support to the Operations Division, assume command, if needed or directed, or join the unified command in multi-agency incidents.
  • Oversee grant writing, implementation, and tracking.
  • Participate in and/or supervise the department's Professional Standards investigations.
