As the Director of Nursing for Critical Care, Emergency Services, and Med Flight, I oversee 15 departments and have direct reports of 12 managers. The critical care department consists of 84 telemetry beds, 118 ICU beds, an inpatient dialysis unit, a 60,000-visit Level 2 trauma Emergency Department, 2 critical care ambulances, an Air medical service, a vascular access team, a Code blue team, a rapid response team, a sepsis coordinator, and nocturnal ICU APRNs.
