Summary

I am an advanced physics masters student, passionate about AI and its numerous applications. I consider myself a great problem solver, which is reflected in many of the projects I pursue.

I have been working in the data science and AI field for over two years, which include freelancing, internships, and a part-time job.

During my high school years I received several awards, including scholarships to summer schools in Panama and Israel, and silver and golden medals in National, Regional and International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) contests.

Intern

Weizmann Institute of Science
12.2022 - 03.2023

Got selected for a 3-month internship at the Weizmann Institute of Science, during which I worked as part of the "Machine Learning in Particle Physics" research group lead by Eilam Gross.

During the internship, I worked on optimizing the performance of a neural network we had made (Znet3) for anomaly detection on data obtained in the ATLAS collaboration.

By the end of the internship, I had identified a problem with the performance of our neural network, and fixed it by optimizing its training process, leading to the first working prototype of Znet3.

Skills

With over 5 years of Python programming experience, I specialize in developing products leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) Proficient both in interacting with LLMs via APIs and running them locally through Hugging Face

My expertise extends to utilizing Docker for containerization and employing Langchain to build applications that integrate with LLMs

Accomplishments

  • Chemistry Olympiads (2015-2017): During my three years participating in Chemistry Olympiad at a national level, I was awarded with 3 golden medals. In 2017 I earned the honor of representing my country at the International Chemistry Olympiads celebrated in Thailand and at the Ibero-american Chemistry Olympiads celebrated in Peru, and was awarded with an honorable mention and a silver medal respectively.
  • 1st place in STEM Communications Awards (May - July 2016, ORT): Participated in a science outreach contest. My video titled "Theory of Special Relativity" was awarded with 1st place.

Internships and Scholarships

  • World ORT-Weizmann Science Summer School (Aug. 2017, Rehovot): I was awarded a 3-week long internship at the Weizmann Institute of Science. During the course of the program, I participated in social and cultural activities, and, alongside other international students, took part in a research project directed by Raanan Carmielli PhD. At the end of the program, my research group presented our findings to other international students, and produced content that was included in a paper that was published afterwards.
  • World ORT Ecology Summer School, (Feb. 2017, Panama): Was selected to represent ORT Argentina in a 10 days long research summer school at Panama, sponsored by ORT Worldwide. During this time, I worked on a research project related to the nastic movement of the "Mimosa Púdica" plant. At the end of the program, we handed a report detailing the experiments we did, and results we got.
  • Expedición Ciencia (Jan. 2018, San Martín de los Andes): I was selected to participate in a science camp centered in developing scientific thinking, tackling day to day problems and discussing ideas with peers from all over the country.

Congresses and Courses

  • Mycology Congress (Nov. 2017, Curitiba): Took on an internship at the microbiology and medical parasitology research institute (IMPAM) on antifungic sensitivity for bronchopulmonary fungic colonization in cystic fibrosis patients living in Buenos Aires. At the end of my research there, I was invited to present our findings at the INFOCUS Mycology Congress in Curitiba, Brazil.
  • NLP Research Workshop (Nov. 2023, Córdoba, Argentina): I was selected to participate in the 2nd Argentinian NLP Research Workshop, where my team gave a talk on leveraging AI for Translations.
  • ML4Good (Jul. 2024, Sao Paulo): Was selected to take part on a 10-day bootcamp on AI Safety. On the bootcamp, I had hands on experience with ML techniques such as hyperparameter optimization, implementing LLM Agents, fine tuning an LLM, exploring RLHF techniques, and working with various LLM Interpretability tools.
