Summary

I began my professional career at Toyota Argentina as a Junior Engineer in the Purchasing area; then I was promoted to Semi-Senior Engineer and later to Senior Engineer where my responsibilities grew and I ended up coordinating and inducing new members in the area.

After 5 years at Toyota Argentina [2014-2019], I joined to Exiros [Techint Group] as a Senior Buyer and spent 1 year in the Services Contracting Area, managing several contracts such as Gases on site, Audits, Engineering, Hygiene and Safety, Destructive and non-destructive tests, Life lines, and Environment.

After that, due to pandemic situation, I started to look for a remote position and I had the opportunity to work for an Australian Retail Company [Bart Group – James Lane] on a 6-month fixed-term contract, managing and promoting a new category of items.

Most recently, I worked at Saint-Gobain as CAPEX Coordinator, where I led a team of 2 people. Together, we oversaw investment projects across 10 plants in Argentina, developing suppliers, managing internal client requirements, conducting tenders in line with the Company's Purchasing Policy, negotiating commercial terms, and monitoring each project's progress through to its final implementation. From a strategic standpoint, I managed the budget for each business unit and set execution priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of two Buyers where my role was coordinate and support them to ensure the successful completion of projects
  • Negotiate with different Suppliers terms and conditions, which involves: payment days, down payment, adjustment rules & cost drivers, avoidance and savings, take or pay clauses and others
  • Lead the main CAPEX's tenders with budget exceeding $50K USD, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and policies.
  • Monitor work progress across multiple locations to guarantee that projects met internal client expectations
  • Resolve delays in critical milestones by negotiating mutually beneficial schedules, balancing stakeholder goals and project timelines.

  • Saving reported during last 6 months: +520K USD
  • New sourcing strategy for Compressors [Local Vs Global] that lead us to a big saving with high reliability and efficiency [CO2 emissions]
  • Supplier's Matrix – Benchmarking [Location, Annual spend, Cost reduction, others]
  • Design and implement a new CAPEX's dashboard with main KPIs

  • Direct contact with suppliers and forwarders
  • Monitor and follow up on KPIs, preparing detailed sales reports by category and store
