I started at Glacier metals when I was 16, I was on the shop floor on the Capstan lathes and Bridgeport mills, when CNC was introduced I was setting and operating CNC mills up until I was 23, at which point I took the role of shop floor Supervisor. After 3 years cells were introduced with team leaders and I then moved back on to the shop floor and started CNC turning, I carried on turning until I left the company to join Sterling Hydraulics now Parker Hannifin.

• Responsible for setting CNC lathes within a cell, also ensuring all paper work was kept up to date.
• Responsible for the running of a night shift as team leader liaising with my manager.
• Able to train others in setting and checking the parts with inspection equipment.
• Throughout my time at Parker Hannifin my team leader duties were for the last 2 years I was with the company.

• Assisted in training operators on proper usage and maintenance of CNC lathes, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
• Supported new product development by creating prototype parts from engineering drawings using CNC lathe programming expertise.
• Interpreted engineering drawings and sketches to plan, layout and set-up procedures.

Within in my time at Turnspeed precision, I spent 5 years in inspection depatrment. I was doing day to day inspection with in the department. I was also trained to use and program the Hommel Etamic, also the Keyence IM-7500 as well as the Farrow arm. I was also responsible for drawing appreciation checking new drawings or up issued drawings from the customer before uploading to our system.
