Accomplishments

Navy Marine Corp Achievement Medal

  • Professional achievement in the superior performance of his duties while serving as squad leader, company B, Marine Corps Security Force Battalion, Kings Bay, Georgia, Marine Corps Security Force Regiment from July 2018 to March 2021. Corporal Barker directly contributed to the continued accomplishment of the defense of the nation's strategic assets and our mission of preventing sabotage, theft, damage, or destruction by those acting against us. He earned noncommissioned officer-in-charge of the reactionary guard force, standing more than 1152 hours, as well as, standing over 5,000 total hours as a guard force sentry. Corporal Barker was responsible for the tactical employment of 44 Marines, and the accountability of 1.8 million dollars of equipment on a day-to-day basis. As convoy reactionary force team leader, he successfully executed 10 inter-area strategic weapons logistics movements, coordinating among maneuver forces. His countless acts of selflessness attributed to the qualification of four noncommissioned officers-in-charge. Corporal barker's professionalism, initiative, and devotion to duty reflected credit upon him and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the Marine Corps and the United States Naval Service.
