Assembler
Hytrol Conveyors
Jonesboro, AR
03.2019 - 08.2020
Assembly of conveyors from frame to finish, using the blueprints from the computer or the actual blueprints on paper. I assembled drives, beds, installed rollers to some beds, and connected belts on other style conveyors. After assembling each individual section the team would connect the sections to test the operation of the finished product. We mounted and wired the motors onto these units as well as laser eyes called e/z logics to sync the operation of the rollers. After the test was complete we broke the conveyor back down and placed the parts on pallets, strapped them down and sent them to shipping to be secured and loaded on trucks to be shipped.
Shipper/Loader
Nucor Yamato Steel
Blytheville, AR
12.2004 - 03.2019
I worked in shipping at NYSII as a shipper/loader ground man where we loaded steel “I” beams in our warehouse onto trucks and railcars while assisting the magnetic crane operators to carry out these tasks. I operated a forklift within the warehouse to assist in loading the trucks and to move spacer boards to stock the rail line and make sure we never ran low. I operated a large Taylor lift for a brief time to load trucks in the rail yard and coils onto railcars. A forklift was used for 90% of the job each day. We also used the lifts to transport all tools needed to band the cars and prepare them to be shipped out by locomotive. We used a track mobile at times to move railcars out of the warehouse and replace with new railcars at times when we were able to load more within our 12 hour shift.
