Reliable Millwright with background of 19+ years in machining and 6 years in hydro electric industry. Installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting are some of my strong traits. Skilled in the use of hand and power tools, blueprints interpretation, precision measurement and machine alignment. Strengths include problem-solving capabilities, teamwork skills, and safety adherence. Proven track record of increasing machinery efficiency and reducing downtime in previous roles.
Disassemble and reassemble hydro electric turbines.
Repair broken or worn parts by welding, fabrication, machining, or just replacing them with new parts.
Troubleshooting hydraulic systems, cylinders, and alignments on parts (shafts, couplings, motors, etc.).
Using rigging, cranes, and equipment to move heavy parts of machinery.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Lathe operator/machinist (repairing shafts and rollers, or building new ones from raw materials). Welder (fabrication of heads, journals, or tooling), and balancing (static or at high RPMs).
Drawing sketches from hand measurements and visual appearance. Then, using a computer program to draft a blueprint for the lathe operators to build the product from raw materials.
Quoting of jobs, materials, and hours, whether parts were sent to the shop or having to travel to the customer's site, so no production was lost on their end.
Troubleshooting issues with machinery (lathes and mills) involves making repairs as needed, whether it's with new parts or having to make them.
Being able to meet the customers' needs by producing good products in a timely manner.
