University of Kentucky Senior Design Project,
Worked with a senior design team to develop a NASA tether deployer for the Electric Sail Propulsion System project. We were given constraints and guidance by our NASA contact. We completed our goal of having a working prototype by the end of 2018. Our project was nominated for and won the Fall 2018 Cummins Design Award.
University of Kentucky FSAE Powertrain Team Leader,
Worked as the team leader for the powertrain subsystem. Applied upper level engineering techniques to design and fabricate a race car similar to a Formula 1 car. Provided guidance and design help for newer team members. Worked with other subsystem leaders to develop the powertrain and other subsystems.
Associates Degree Capstone Project, Bellevue College, Bellevue WA
Researched Chladni plates for a physics capstone project. Applied math formulas derived by Ernist Chladni and Walter Ritz. Reproduced Ernist Chladni's experiment using different metallic plates and reproduced a Maplesoft program designed to produce fast estimations of patterns. The professor submitted a personal letter of recommendation to University of Kentucky, School of Mechanical Engineering.
