  • I am their expert for Crime, Cyber, EPL, Fiduciary, D&O, and K&R.
  • I also manage my own book of business with our local agents, conduct policy changes, work new business, etc. I have to meet monthly sales goals and yearly sales goals.

Commercial Lines Account Tech

Meadors, Adams and Lee
08.2021 - 05.2022
  • In August earlier this year, I had the opportunity to move to the Commercial Lines Account Technician position.
  • I work in the small business department with the Account Manager of said department. As an Account Tech, I assist with the following tasks:
  • Reviewing Endorsement downloads that come in to make sure it matches the change request submitted by the Account Manager and I relabel the document, service summary row, and activity (I do this for all the tasks listed below). I also send an email to the insured describing the change and if they need further assistance to contact the Account Manager.
  • Reviewing Cancellation for Non-Payment notices by checking the company's website to see if payment has been made or not. If not, I send an email to the client with the cancellation notice and say if they need further assistance to contact the Account Manager.
  • Emailing Non-Renewal Notices to the Account Manager & Producer.
  • Reviewing Workers Compensation/General Liability Audits by seeing if there is a return or additional premium owed to the insured. For either possibility, I send an email to the insured advising the audit's results and say if they need further assistance to contact the Account Manager.
  • I assist with sending out certificates of insurance to clients per their requests and I also assist the Account Manager with sending out COIs at renewal and Auto I.D Cards at renewal.
  • I review new business/renewal policies for that come in to make sure it matches the quote or proposal that's presented. If any discrepancies, I email the Account Manager to reconcile. If everything is correct, I email to The Insured.

Personal Lines Account Tech/Account Manager

Meadors, Adams and Lee
12.2019 - 08.2021
  • At Meadors, Adams and Lee, I started as a Personal Lines Account Technician. An Account Technician assisted the Personal Lines Account Manager with their daily tasks. Those daily tasks included: processing endorsements the Account Manager received/take insured's calls in their absence to process any changes needed.
  • Quoting New Business and Renewal packages/policies, such as auto, home, umbrella, flood, for clients and giving those quotes back to the Account Manager or I would email/call the client to present the information. There were also instances I received calls from new clients, I would get their information and quote the lines needed & present to the client.
  • Processing policy cancellation requests/taking insureds calls to make payments over the phone. I would email the client confirmation of the receipt/cancellation confirmation.
  • File claims the Account Manager needed me to and take insured's calls over the phone to process auto and home claims for the client.

Personal Lines Underwriter

Auto-Owners Insurance Company
06.2016 - 12.2019
  • As a personal lines underwriter, there were a multitude of tasks that I had to complete each day. I reviewed new business, renewals, surveys and endorsements for auto, home, umbrella, and dwelling fire policies. While I do those tasks, I was also in charge of answering phone calls and emails I received from insurance agents to find solutions to any questions they had to the insurance products. In one week, I received 150 phone calls. Being able to multi-task is something I excel in.
  • In addition, I led monthly meetings for the personal lines team to help outline a line of business to help clarify and educate the latest changes that happened within the products.
  • We also went on agency visits and discussed any questions agents had and discussed their needs from underwriting. I also assisted in quoting.
