Overview - Summary
My name is Rhea Thalluri and I currently attend the University of Arkansas and major in pre-nursing. In the future, my goal is to specialize in ER nursing. I have had the opportunity to gain experience in the hospital setting at Washington Regional Hospital. On the job, I got to work with tremendous nurses who not only had a high level of compassion with patients, but were nice enough to explain in detail whatever it was they were doing with patients and why so I could gain a better understanding and carry that knowledge with me when I’m in nursing school and even as a nurse one day. Washington Regional gave me the opportunity to see what a nurse does. Which was really eye-opening and actually encouraged me to continue to pursue nursing. I have gotten the privilege to experience nurses work in many fields, such as ICU, ER, NICU, and Med-Surg. The emergency department was my favorite floor to work on because I really was exposed to a lot of fast paced critical care work and made me more excited to continue on the path that I am on right now in hopes of getting there one day.
