  • My responsibilities consisted in supervising & being in charge of the programs in general assigned to me, throughout my 9 years at ASA Services. I started, as a customer service agent for an international Coffee account (Gevalia), based out of New York, and due to my excellent performance on the account, after 9 months; I was transferred to the Quality control dept., where I was made team leader of a 10-member team.
  • Our duties were to listen, analyze & provide quality control of all incoming customer service calls of our clients (Amex, Sprint, Capitol One, RCN, Cox Communications). I performed these duties for almost two years.
  • When we obtained the Time Warner Cable account to provide customer service in several areas (Billing, Tech support, Sales, Retention); I was offered & promoted to Account manager, where I oversaw the overall management of the account, which was a 24 hour a day program with three 8-hour shifts.
  • At the peak of the account; I had 110 agents on the account over a 5-year span. We held on to this account, until Time Warner decided to merge with Comcast & their decision was to stop, outsourcing their services to cut costs.
  • At that point I was asked to take over a new account; we had just obtained at the time. The account was Validity, which was based on electoral polling & campaign (Presidential, Gubernatorial, Senate & Congressional) surveys.
  • During my time at ASA, in between I also oversaw other minor accounts, such as Playdom (Video games chat service) for which we provided customer service in dealing with their customer’s life insurances (Renovations/Cancellations).

  • During the time, in which I worked for this Company, I was assigned to different posts (Valle Escondido Country Club, Dinosaur Mall, New Center Mall, The Auditor retail store & Sun Clinic), depending on where the company needed me at the time.
  • The Sun Clinic post was my last post & where I lasted the longest time of service (6 months), due to a personal request from the Clinic’s administrator (Antonio Esposito), who was pleased with my job performance at the clinic.
  • I worked the night shift (10 pm – 7 am) and was responsible for the entry table & all incoming patients during the shift. I had to register all entry forms, including their medical insurance into the clinic’s computer system.

After a year, as a stock boy in the frozen foods dept.; I was promoted to the assistant manager position, which I held for approximately 6 months, when an opportunity became available & which I took advantage of and was promoted to one of three store managers.
  • I held the store manager position, until my last day with the company, which I left at the time, to eventually enroll in US Army.

  • Who had retired several years earlier and was now working in a higher management position at American Airlines.

  • I enrolled in the Army, because ever since I was a child; I was enamored with the uniform and the sense of patriotism, of defending my country against anyone, who wanted to do harm to the United States, foreign & domestic.
  • I was assigned to C company 239 (Recon Battalion) & my technical specialty in the Army, was “Fire Control systems engineer”.
  • Basically, I was responsible for the maintenance of all the computerized systems aboard the tanks & helicopters.
  • After three tours of duty; I decided to retire, take some time off, then try and make it in the private sector.
  • I was given an honorable discharge & a medal for distinguished service in combat for the Somalia conflict in 1996, which I, unfortunately, was a part of.

  • I enrolled in the Outreach Program, my senior in high school, which the program's sole purpose was for students to begin inserting themselves into the workforce, so we could begin to gain on-the-job experience.
  • We would go to school for two weeks and then work the remaining two weeks of the month.
  • Due to my excellent job performance, after graduation, I was offered to stay on, on a permanent basis, which I gratefully accepted and held onto for 7 years, before deciding to move on and continue to grow.
